Things I learned from my dad

There are so many things I have learned from my dad....these are just a few.

• Help your kids with their homework

• If there is a minute left in a basketball game, it will take well longer than a minute

• NPR is boring... but it’s a little better than Garrison Keillor

• The Beatles are a good band

• Make sure you have a good hiding place when playing Hide-and-Seek in the dark

• You have to work hard at your job

• Being late isn’t the end of the world

• Procrastinating is okay, as long as you get the job done

• Law and Order is an entertaining show

• Being kind can take you a long way

• The Simpsons are funny

• Play with your kids

• Be confident and stand up for yourself

• Always keep jumper cables in your car

• Be creative

• When buying a new car, make sure there are enough seat belts for all family members

• Always put up Christmas lights, but not too early

• Read to your kids

• You can never watch Star Wars too many times

• Help your kids when they need it

• Put your family first

Happy Father's Day, Dad!
