What's in a name?

For those who may not know, Brad and I struggled to decide on the perfect name for Baby Boy #2 and weren't sure until after he was born.  Now that it is settled, we couldn't be happier with the names of our two boys.

Baby Boy 1:  Samuel
Meaning:  Asked of God



Middle Name:  None (This is after Brad and his dad, who also have no middle names)
Nicknames:  Sam, Sammy
Biblical Reference:  Book of Samuel in the Old Testament
Super Hero Reference: Samuel Wilson is The Falcon, who is a Marvel Super Hero. He's on the Super Hero Squad and helps out Captain America (Look for him in the second Captain America movie coming out next spring)
Google: No red flags when you google his full name :)
Cultural References: Green Eggs and Ham, Samuel Adams (from history and the beer), Samuel L. Jackson...


Baby Boy 2:  Luke
Meaning:  Light



Middle Name:  Robert (This is after my dad)
Meaning:  Bright, Shining (goes well with the meaning of Luke, right? :) )
Nicknames:  Lukie?
Biblical Reference:  Book/Gospel of Luke  in the New Testament
Super Hero Reference: Luke Cage = Power Man, who is another Marvel Super Hero also on Super Hero Squad
Google: No red flags when you google his full name :)
