Saturday we slept in a little bit, but then headed to catch the Staten Island Ferry. The Staten Island Ferry is a free ferry that takes you right by the Statue of Liberty. We waited about 20 minutes and got on the ferry and got a great view of the "lady in the water" (as the locals call her :)).
After our ferry ride we explored downtown and the financial district... saw Wall Street, the charging bull, the stock exchange, and the courts.
We then walked over to see the progress of the new World Trade Center buildings.
We walked through Chinatown and stopped in Little Italy to eat. We went back to the apartment for a while and then went out for a late dinner (like true New Yorkers).
